The Gospel of Christ lies at the heart of our work in RZIM Zacharias Trust. We are acutely aware of the pressures on Michael, Amy and our speaking team. Their time will only stretch so far. Through speaking in academia, businesses and in churches across Europe there are a number who respond to the call to be evangelists themselves. The more we can see evangelists called and motivated to action through our ministry then the greater and more rapid will be the spread of the Gospel throughout Europe.
Our major evangelism aim is to train 1,000 evangelists within Europe over the next ten years. To do this will not only involve the itineraries of our team but the provision of supporting, training and equipping resources. These will include RZIM productions and publications together with material from leading apologists such as Alister McGrath and Norman Geisler. We are also aiming to provide a support and information sharing network from our Oxford office.
Our Associates form a key element in this initiative and in many cases they will provide specific input to these upcoming evangelists, largely through mentoring. Our vision is that these new evangelists will in turn be enabled to train others thereby leading us to reach our goal.
Additional to supporting the initiative will be the provision of bursaries or scholarships to enable some of these emerging evangelists to study at the Oxford Centre for Christian Apologetics (OCCA).
Our vitalconnections programme will also be a core training resource. It has already been translated into French and Russian by our Associates and we are looking to see further European language translations.
