Update from Ravi - June 6 Dear Friends,
I am writing this just a little over two weeks
after my back surgery. So many of you have written or phoned and
prayed from all over the world and before I say anything else, I want
to thank you. I have been deeply touched by your love, your care and
your prayers. All of your prayers were needed and answered. One of the
pictures sent to me was of a group of children from the red light
district of Bombay. These kids are being cared for and given the love
of Christ by a most unusual man, his family and his team. The picture
said it all: These precious little ones with their eyes closed and
their arms raised, praying up a storm for my healing. How does one
adequately respond to such tender and determined faith? The Lord told
us all to become as one of them.

Ravi's Surgery Update- Thursday, June 5 Ravi continues to progress well in his recovery, in spite of the fact
that he heals more slowly than most people and seems to see recovery as
another challenge to overcome. But after a few mis-starts he is
learning to pace himself better and is really doing well in his
recovery, almost entirely with no pain medication. Massage therapy with
oils mixed specifically for him because of their healing properties
seem to be helping him immensely.

Please Pray for Ravi’s Surgery on Monday, May 19 From Ravi Zacharias:
Recently a doctor friend gave me the totally unexpected news, after he had seen my most recent MRI, that the surgery that was done in 2002 to fuse three discs in my lower back had actually not been successful and that there is no fusion. Not only that, the bolts that were in place to stabilize the back are loose. One thing led to another and a series of other tests, due to some new symptoms I am experiencing, was set in motion.

The End of Reason by Ravi Zacharias When Sam Harris wrote his book Letter to a Christian Nation, stating that
Christians display “murderous intolerance,” Dr. Ravi Zacharias felt called to
answer. The End of Reason is a clear and powerful response to the “utter
bankruptcy” of Harris’s New Atheism as it explains the true nature of God, the
foundation for evil in the world, and the basis of true morality.

Ravi Zacharias’s Statement Regarding His Participation in the National Day of Prayer I was truly honored when last fall, Shirley Dobson, the Chairman of the
National Day of Prayer Task Force, asked me to assume the role of
Honorary Chairman for 2008. As Honorary Chairman, I was given the
privilege of writing and praying the official prayer for the nation,
speaking at the Pentagon and at the Cannon House Office Building, and
of writing a small book on the importance and efficacy of prayer, which
was to be distributed nationally. No restrictions were placed on my
message or on the book, nor on any one else who was taking part, other
than the official prayer for the nation. As with all who had gone
before me, I wrote out my prayer and submitted it to the National Day
of Prayer Committee, after reading through the prayers that had been
written by previous Honorary Chairmen and understanding the intent of
the prayer. The prayer had to be very brief and free from what might be
perceived by watchdog entities as the government sponsoring one
religion.
