The Need
Although many Christians in the U.S. today perceive the need to interact and engage their culture, few would associate such a task with apologetics, and even less feel adequately equipped to do so on their own. Likewise, when most people hear the words “Christian apologetics,” they think of intellectual arguments and clever defenses rather than how a robust understanding of the Gospel and the Christian story informs a coherent Christian worldview from which an individual can live and think Christianly, and thus live apologetically by having reasons for the hope within us.
The Vision
It is the goal of the Engaging Today’s Culture events to introduce and model for the participants how issues of worldview and truth are intricately bound up within the Christian story and the Gospel of Jesus Christ, so as to motivate and begin the process of equipping them to engage their culture with relevant and meaningful conversations.
The Goal
Through the Engaging Today’s Culture events, the participants will not only be introduced to different apologetic arguments and strategies, but they will be exposed, motivated, and equipped to think about their faith and how it relates to life in a way that encourages people to live and think apologetically.
