It may be 94 F in Atlanta but already the children are starting the back-to-school countdown-at least in this part of the United States-and the team is looking ahead to upcoming fall events. The annual weeks of the Summer Institute in Wheaton and the Summer School at Oxford came and went and were followed by heartfelt and positive responses. At home, still grounded in recovery, I received the updates from the team as to how the weeks were going and it thrilled my heart to hear of the response. I am enormously proud of the team God has gifted this ministry with as Stuart led the week at Wheaton and Michael and Amy at Oxford. Both were joined by some of the finest speakers in John Lennox, John Dixon, Alister McGrath, and Gary Habermas. What a thrill for all in attendance and those on the team here who worked so hard to bring this event about. If you are ever able to attend either summer school, I would encourage you to do so. I believe you will find it to be an unparalleled experience of worship, teaching, and ultimately restoration.
Right now, writing and radio interviews are keeping me busy and still allowing me to mend. I am already anxious to return to speaking, and when I eventually do so, I stand alongside this team of individuals committed to preaching the Gospel. And we stand alongside you all too. It is your friendship with us and commitment to us that enables this work. Thank you for your faithfulness to the calling of this ministry. And thank you for how you have come alongside us these summer months especially. May God bless you richly.

Take a journey into India's holy city of Mathura. This is the birthplace of Krishna, the name revered and worshiped by millions of Hindus. The teachings of Krishna in the Gita are often referred to as being closest to those of Jesus. But as you walk through the streets and visit the temples in this imaginary conversation between Jesus and Krishna, you will soon see where the message comes close but where the differences lie. Questions of human dignity, Karma, and reincarnation are faced head-on. What is the teaching of this most popular of Hindu books? How does the Gospel differ? New Birth or Rebirth: Jesus Talks with Krishna gets to the heart through the mind of these two, both who claimed to give the ultimate answers. Jesus and Krishna will engage your intellect and emotions in life's soul-searching struggles. Test for yourself and see where the real answers lie. This is latest in the Great Conversations series by Ravi Zacharias. Others in the series include The Lamb and Fuhrer, The Lotus and the Cross, and Sense and Sensuality. United StatesRavi Zacharias Ravi continues to improve following his back surgery. The physical therapist is very pleased with the progress he is making. Ravi has commented that he has less pain and more mobility now than he has had in many years. We are grateful to the Lord for this report. Thank you for your prayers and support!
Stuart McAllister traveled to Southeast Asia this month. He began with a presentation on "Doubt: Its Causes and Its Cures" in Jakarta, followed by three services in the international English-speaking church on the book of Esther entitled, "For Such a Time as This." Stuart had several good conversations following the services and was able to minister to those people seeking answers to their questions.
In Singapore he joined team members, L.T. Jeyachandran and I'Ching Thomas for a seminar prepared for youth workers and pastors. The event fostered a lot of good interaction with the attendees, especially when the team conducted a panel on the question, "Why is there evil and suffering?"
Stuart then spoke at another event on the subject of "The Pursuit of Meaning" and "Hope Has Its Reasons." On the last day of his trip, he spoke in a local church on "Grace and Obedience, Partners Not Contestants." He commented that it was a real joy to have such fellowship, mutual encouragement, and teamwork on the trip.
At the end of the month, Stuart will travel with John Njoroge to Chagrin Falls, Ohio, for an "Engaging Today's Culture" event at Fellowship Bible Church. They will discuss the impact worldviews have on our society.
Alison Thomas has been on a six-week world tour traveling and teaching throughout the Middle East and Asia this month. She spent her first week speaking daily at a youth camp in Syria. While on the journey to her next stop in Jordan, Alison reflected on the camp saying, "We just finished an exhilarating week at camp in Syria. About 100 teens and 20 leaders. I did two one-hour lectures and one discussion group a day. The kids were very attentive and welcoming-they clapped after everything I said! The language barrier did not stop big groups of them from coming up to me all the time and asking questions and communicating as much as possible. They showered me with much affection."
From there she went to speak in Jordan and then Istanbul, where she shared about apologetics in the popular culture with a group of believers at an all-day event. This proved to be a very informative engagement, which held the undivided attention of the attendees with its relevant examples of today's pop culture. Attendees also had a chance to speak with her individually and ask questions. Finally, Alison was interviewed about her testimony for later broadcast on the local Christian radio station. Her entire time on this tour has been very blessed. Thank you for your prayers as she concludes her travels and comes back to the United States.
