Associate Director of Development
Ravi Zacharias International Ministries, founded in 1984, is a major global evangelistic, apologetics and training non-profit Christian ministry located in Norcross, Georgia. We are currently seeking candidates for the position of Associate Director of Development to serve as a fundraiser on the front lines of donor relationships to strengthen and advance the work of RZIM.
Reporting directly to the Director of Development, responsibilities include:
· Initiating, cultivating and nurturing relationships with major donors and prospects through phone calls, emails, social media, written correspondence and traveling to meet personally with donors.
· Identifying prospective new donors and supporters and introducing them to the distinctiveness of RZIM.
· Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of issues being addressed by RZIM to share with donors.
· Plan, organize, staff and facilitate between 12 – 15 regional donor events and activities annually as well as encourage donors to attend the annual Founders Weekend event.
To be considered for this position, candidates should have:
· A love for Christ and be in agreement with RZIM’s Statement of Values, Statement of Faith, Mission and Vision Statements.
· A bachelor's degree (required).
· 2 – 3 years of successful experience fundraising or as a consultative, long- term relationship building salesperson.
· Experience planning and hosting events.
· Highly interactive people-person with superior verbal and written communication skills.
· Demonstrates strong relational qualities to professionally interface with people who have significant financial resources.
· A positive attitude, enthusiastic, energetic and excited about making new contacts and meeting with donors.
· Extremely organized, can plan strategically, multi-task, possesses excellent time management skills, pays attention to detail.
· A team player with a servant’s heart and the giftedness and skills to encourage and counsel donors with wisdom and kindness.
· Ability to travel occasionally to meet with donors throughout the United States.
· Ability to work from RZIM’s headquarters in Norcross, Georgia.
