Ravi Zacharias International Ministries Announces New President
ATLANTA, November 4, 2005 — Robert F. Schwarzwalder, Jr. has been named President of Ravi Zacharias International Ministries, effective January 1, 2006, having just previously served as Chief of Staff for U.S. Representative Todd Akin (R-MO) on Capitol Hill. Mr. Schwarzwalder has been a leading voice in business and politics for over twenty years. He is an accomplished writer and speaker, with a strong academic and intellectual capacity to address issues of history, religion, and politics in a cross-cultural context. He formerly served as senior policy advisor and legislative strategist for Representative Akin and was also appointed by President Bush to serve as senior speechwriter at the Department of Health and Human Services. He received his B.A. in Communications from Biola University and his M.A. in Theology from Western Seminary. Mr. Schwarzwalder’s responsibilities at RZIM will include leading the global ministry team, overseeing operations, developing external relationships, and protecting the vision and mission of the ministry. “Rob brings marvelous credentials, with a high academic background as well.
