Watch the Update: 2016 Festival of Thought in Chicago
A team of RZIM speakers and staff converged in the Windy City last week for the Chicago Loop Festival of Thought April 17-23. Led by Frog Orr-Ewing, the group included Michael Ramsden, John Lennox, Vince Vitale, and several other members of the itinerant speaking team as well as graduates of the Oxford Centre for Christian Apologetics.
The Festival of Thought, first held in London’s Canary Wharf business district in 2015, is an RZIM initiative to reach a cross-section of influencers in business, government, education, and the arts with answers to life’s biggest questions from a Christian worldview.

In collaboration with leaders from a broad array of companies and organizations, the RZIM team held over 30 events in boardrooms, on university campuses, and at strategic community venues around Chicago. Through lively lunchtime talks, community open forums, and engaging evening events, each gathering addressed a significant topic such as the problem of suffering, the basis of ethics and integrity, the proper response to wealth, and whether science and faith are compatible. Speakers also participated in local and national media interviews throughout the week and held private roundtable meetings with high profile corporate leaders, lawyers, and medical professionals.
Over 100 individuals indicated a decision to follow Christ for the first time, and many more attendees asked to have further conversations about Christianity. Join us in praising God for a life-changing week as the truth was proclaimed across Chicago, and pray that follow-up efforts in the days ahead will lead to lasting impact within and beyond the city.
