Jesus Challenges Our Cultural Norms
In John 4, Jesus encounters a Samaritan woman drawing water from a well. Here, Dr. Jo Vitale says, we see Jesus challenge centuries of culturally reinforced racism, sexism, and social stigmatization to let the woman know that he sees her first and foremost as a human being.
